Fiscal Year 2027 Month End Close Information

Business Services is adopting a monthly financial close date of 7 business days following the end of the month. The following is the monthly close schedule for the rest of the fiscal year.

• May will close on June 9
• June will close on July 10

After the June close date there will be some time to ensure that all FY2026 transactions are in the system. The cutoff for campus FY26 transactions will be August 14.

The following is the monthly close schedule for fiscal year 2027.

• July will close on August 11
• August will close on September 10
• September will close on October 9
• October will close on November 10
• November will close on December 9
• December will close on January 12
• January will close on February 5
• February will close on March 5
• March will close on April 7
• April will close on May 7
• May will close on June 7
• June will close on July 7

After the June close date, there will be some time to ensure that all FY2027 transactions are in the system.

For the month end close, please ensure the following tasks are completed:

• Invoices from vendors for the month closing are entered in Workday and through the approval queues.
• Expense reimbursement requests are submitted from employees for travel and other reimbursements through the period closing.
• P-card verifications are completed for all transactions for the month closing.
• All financial transactions are cleared from your approval queue. This may require that you check your approval queue regularly.
